This is the second take of the cover you can find here. This version has a completely different focus. I always had a design in mind that plays with the whole "undefined" theme by screwing an image. It took a long time to find out how to do it to actually make it interesting and not just confusing.


UNDEFINED

A headless body is found in a water hole at the Kata Tjuṯa, belonging to the anthropologist Marc Asturbate. The police suspect that the professor disturbed a ritual of the Aṉangu and incurred their wrath. The ethnologist Cécile Oitus cannot believe that the Aṉangu would defile their holy place with such a horrendous act and starts her own investigations. More bodies pile up. Heads missing. Speculation is spreading that a madman hunts down tourists at nightfall. But all victims are scientists. And all did their research on the geology of the Kata Tjuṯa and Uluṟu. This seems to be more than just a random killing spree. According to the locals these holy places should never be disturbed, or else the spirits will call upon the Kulpunya, an absurd creature, to murder the blasphemers one by one. Other theories talk about aliens that visit the mountains at night, a conspiracy of the Australian government that runs a secret underground lab inside of Uluṟu, or even an obscure mutual suicide of the scientists who went insane after staying a night in the Valley of the Winds.
Cécile is sure, whoever killed the scientists did it because they found something that should be kept hidden at all costs. Suddenly professor Asturbate reappears. But how can he be alive after his dead body was found?
