You should always have an apple with you.
This is actually a bit older. I did it right after I created these smileys and animating these tiny things was so much fun that I wanted to apply it to the characters of Kurrikulum.
The last time I did something similar to pixel art was at the age of 12 or so (I've never been a huge fan of pixel art, but well it fits in this case).
